Cougars News · Urgent ticket information about the Riverdale Ridge Football Game

Niwot Football and Cheer,

I am emailing you today to let you know that we received word today that the Adams County Health Department has made a decision to no longer allow fans at high school sporting events which affects Riverdale Ridge High School, this restriction is effective immediately. This means that we will not be able to have any fans at our Varsity or Junior Varsity Football Games vs Riverdale Ridge tonight or tomorrow. Please click here to see the letter from Riverdale Ridge High School Principal Mr. Terry Elliot. We discussed at length the possibility of moving the game but with the short notice, it was evident that this was an impossibility given the time frame.
I am so sorry for these circumstances and completely understand how frustrating this will be to you as parents and to our players and cheerleaders. My heart also goes out to the Riverdale Ridge Community as tonight was scheduled to be their senior night. If you have a senior athlete you know and understand how tough news like this would be. I am so thankful that we were able to have our senior night last week at Holy Family High School.
While I am hopeful this will be the only time this season we will have a last-minute change, in these uncertain times the likelihood of this being the only time that we experience a last-minute change to tickets or games is unfortunately very unlikely. Please know this decision was not made by Riverdale Ridge High School and its administration but was rather a mandate that was given to them.
The good news is our student-athletes still get to participate and Riverdale Ridge will have the game live-streamed, the link to view the game is listed below. If you have any questions please don’t hesitate to contact me at I want to again sincerely thank you for your understanding and patience as we navigate these uncertain times.
