Cougars News · NHS Hires Nikolas Blume as Head Football Coach

Dear Niwot High Football Families,

Thank you for your continued support as we look forward to a successful upcoming season for our football program at Niwot High School. We are committed to advancing the success of our students, both in the classroom and on the field, and strengthening partnerships with our families. We are excited to announce that after an extensive search, we have filled the open head football coaching position with a highly-qualified candidate, Mr. Nikolas Blume.

Coach Blume holds his Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Education from Concordia University in Wisconsin. He is passionate about youth development and community engagement and brings over 17 years of experience coaching student-athletes. Currently, Coach Blume serves as a Physical Education and Health teacher at Lutheran High School in Parker, CO where he was an Assistant Coach for the varsity football program and is the co-Head Coach for the six-time state championship track team, from 2013 to present. Before that, Coach Blume served as the Defensive Coordinator and Linebacker Coach for Kettle Moraine Lutheran High School from 2008 to 2013. Coach Blume is excited to join the Niwot community and continue to develop our student-athletes’ passion for football while emphasizing team building, community service, and leadership skills.

Please join me in welcoming Coach Blume to the Niwot High School community – we look forward to celebrating what is sure to be an outstanding football season for our student-athletes. We are hosting a meet-and-greet for all football players on February 20 at 4:00 pm in room 155, and for everyone else on February 20 at 5:00 p.m. in the Learning Commons at Niwot High School.
